The easiest way to save summer

Freeze a tray of berries

Berries spoil in 3 days. Frozen, they last 9 months. This is the easiest food preservation there is.
Progress0 of 5 steps
  1. ๐ŸซWash berries gently in cold water

Pick out any squishy or moldy ones โ€” one bad berry can spoil the bunch.
  2. ๐Ÿ“œLay them in a single layer on a baking tray

Use parchment paper so they don't stick.
  3. โ„๏ธFreeze the tray for 2 hours

Freezing each berry separately keeps them from clumping later.
  4. ๐Ÿ›๏ธPour the frozen berries into a freezer bag

Squeeze out the air, label with the date.
  5. ๐ŸฅžUse within 9 months โ€” smoothies, muffins, pancakes!

Frozen berries are picked at peak ripeness, often better than 'fresh' ones flown from far away.
