Three kinds of clouds anybody can name

Long before phones, every farmer and sailor knew the sky. Here are the three clouds you need first.
Progress0 of 3 steps
  1. 🪶Cirrus — feathery and high

Thin white wisps high up, like a horse's tail brushed across the sky. They mean weather is changing soon.
  2. ☁️Cumulus — puffy and friendly

Cotton balls with flat bottoms. The clouds you draw. A sky of cumulus on a sunny day = good day to be outside.
  3. ⛈️Cumulonimbus — tall, dark, thundery

Big tower-clouds that get dark on the bottom and flat-topped like an anvil. These bring rain, lightning, and wind. Go inside.
